Since so often when family members and friends need assistance, its due to a Virus or Malware of sorts, I thought I would post a good article from Network world that has their choice of the top Ten Security Suites.

Memory Allocation and VMWare

Posted on January 21st, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

So today at work we were having a short little discussion about VMWare and overcommitting memory (allocating more memory then is actually available).  For example , if  I had 5 VMs with 512MB of Ram assigned on a Host with 4gB, I’d be roughly 512MB over commited.

Interesting vmware blog article here on overcommitment  (Link)

Over Commitment is not necesarrly a bad thing.  Kinston and VMWare put together a nice document on VMware and memory - ESX Memory

God and Hunting

Posted on January 20th, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

So I ran across an increase an interesting article directed towards so called “Christians” that appose hunting -

Here is a good repsone http://townhall.com/Columnists/DougGiles/2009/01/18/a_theology_of_hunting_why_god_loves_hunting__hunters

It amazes me of how detached our society has become of the food we eat.  Exspecially the youngest generations.  They have no idea where their food came from and how it got from the field/barn to the plate.  When they hear of “hunting” – they ask why would you ever want to kill anything.  Def. clueless of how that burger got to the grill.

An Update – Happy Holidays!

Posted on January 1st, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

2008 brough many new challenges and adventures for both Nicole and I.  We both made major job changes and also began looking for a house.

2009 rushed in a new chapter of our life that hopefully (God Willing) will provide a house and advancement / success in our careers.  Both our families will face health issues and the all to common issues that every family must face, but I look forward to 2009 and hope you do too.

For kicks over the Holidays, to fill in some free time – I’ve been working on a “prototype” for the Kalamazoo Rod and Gun Club.

Old Site Vs. What I may purpose

I’m getting rusty when in comes to web design :-)

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end
